Boost your Immune System Naturally…

Boost your Immune System Naturally…

Building a strong immune system is important to your ongoing health. Here are six easy ways to boost your immune system, that you can do right now. This includes things that you can do at home on a daily basis.

1. Drink Plenty of Fluids

Water is by far your best option for staying hydrated on a daily basis. Water is also vital for the functioning of all of your organs, and it’s a huge part of keeping your immune system functioning at an optimal level, by helping to transport nutrients to your organs and detoxifying. If you find it hard to drink water throughout the day, there are a few things you can do.

When you wake up, drink a large glass of water and add a quarter squeeze of lemon, it’s a great refreshing cleanser. Alternatively, add a TruPURE Sachet to really get you set up for the day.

Fill up your favourite drink bottle for easy access throughout the day. Whenever you feel hungry, fill up on water before you reach for something to eat. If you’re at the office, fill a large bottle and keep it on your desk. This makes it easy to refill your water glass and keeps tabs on how much you have consumed.

To give your water an extra health and immune system boost, add a sachet of MannaBOOM. MannaBOOM packs a hefty serving of glyconutrients, antioxidants, and Vitamin C to boost your immune system.* The sachet makes it super convenient to carry with you throughout the day.

2. Exercise Regularly

Apart from the obvious benefits, exercise can also contribute to good general health including a healthy immune system. It can promote good blood circulation, which allows your cells and substances of the immune system to move through your body freely. Try to incorporate at least thirty minutes of physical exercise into your daily routine.

An active and fit body also often responds more effectively to infections, should you get ill.

3. Stress Less

Many of us have busy lifestyles so this is easier said than done. Unfortunately, stress drains your ability to stay strong. Over time, whether your stress is minor or severe, if it affects you daily, your system is potentially pushed every day to overcome that stress.  Over time, this erodes your ability to function at a high level.

One way to overcome this stress is to take a timeout, be kind to yourself, and allow yourself time for ‘self-care’. This means different things to different people, essentially it’s doing things that “refill your tank”. Like reading a good book, getting a massage, exercise or even dancing.

4. A Good Sleep Routine

As one of the six ways to boost your immunity, good sleep is important. Sleep is a regenerative process for your body. If you don’t get enough sleep your immune response is compromised, and inflammatory cells increase.  Therefore, good sleep results in strengthening your immunity.

A good sleep routine could be to leave your phone, computer and TV turned off a minimum of 30 minutes before bed. Some supplements like magnesium, Valerian Root and Ashwagandha may also aid with better sleep. Our new Essentials Catalyst Multi contains both magnesium and Ashwagandha.

5. Add Probiotics & Prebiotics

A healthy gut is important when we want our immune system to be in the best shape possible. Probiotics may be beneficial to your immune system by keeping harmful bacteria in your gut in balance. Fermented and cultured foods that contain probiotics are recommended like kimchi, yoghurt, tofu, miso, tamari or kombucha.

You could also take Mannatech’s GI PRO Balance. It not only has all the benefits of probiotics but prebiotics too. Prebiotics are non-digestible food ingredients that work to support the good bacteria found in probiotics, as well as support your body’s naturally occurring good bacteria.

6. Eat a well-balanced diet

Paying attention to what you eat is important to understand whether you are getting enough nutrients, proteins and complex carbohydrates in your diet. The body gets many of its immune supportive and boosting nutrients from food, so making sure that you are eating a balanced and nutrient-rich diet is essential. Making a food diary is a good way to recall what you consume on a daily basis.

Eating a rainbow of fruits and veggies throughout the day is a great rule of thumb. An alternative is our new SuperFoods: Greens and Reds drink, which incorporates 16 fruits and vegetables in one. Additionally, try to minimise processed foods, like sugar, ready-meals and soft drinks.

No matter the steps you take to improve your immune system, you can be sure to find Mannatech products that can help you along the way.

7. Take ImmunoSTART

Immuno-START tablets are formulated with the most powerful natural ingredients available and contain a balanced blend of beneficial nutrients that work to maintain and support the body’s natural immune system. It contains:

  • Colostrum, a glycoprotein that plays an important role in immune system function. *
  • Elderberry, legendary for its immune properties.
  • Camu Camu, a tart berry, popular for its high vitamin C and antioxidant content. *
  • β-glucan polysaccharides, used to kickstart the immune response. *
  • Citrus pectin, a great source of vitamin C and fiber that increases bioavailability. *

In addition, ImmunoSTART tablets are fortified with colostrum, a nutrient-rich fluid produced by female mammals immediately after giving birth. Colostrum is not milk, but rather a biological precursor containing many “superfood” characteristics, including critical nutrient support for newborns within their first hours of life. This same strengthening fluid has been used for centuries by many cultures for its health-promoting properties.

This easy-to-digest nourishment contains immunoglobulins to help naturally bolster the body’s immune system. This is known as one of nature’s most effective antibodies and raises a healthy body’s numerous immune cells (white cells), which are needed when the immune system is challenged. * †

Hands down, ImmunoSTART is the very best product for immune response ” – Dr Steve Nugent, Chief Health and Nutrition Officer.

According to Dr Steve Nugent, every household needs ImmunoSTART, even when your family is feeling healthy. Great tasting, chewable ImmunoSTART tablets are family-friendly. And of course, they are suitable for vegan, gluten-free and lactose intolerance diets.
